Advanced Tools - Manager Reassignment

HR Partner has housekeeping routines for changes made within the Employee Records feature. These routines can make updates and rectify the system changes you’ve made, including the specific purpose of easily reassigning managers.

You can use our housekeeping routines by going to Setup > Tools > Advanced. Then, look for the section with the heading 'Employee Record Updates'.

Reassign Managers

This housekeeping routine allows you to assign multiple employees from one manager to another. When using this tool, you select the manager to whom you need to reassign employees, then select the manager they will now be reporting.

To use this tool, select the 'See Options' button for 'Reassign Managers'.

When to Use This Tool

A situation where you would use this tool would be if you have a manager leaving your organization, and you need to reassign their direct reports to another manager before closing out the original manager's profile in HR Partner.

Other situations where this tool would be useful is if you just promoted a manager and need to reassign their direct reports to another manager to take over their team, or if you promoted an employee to a manger-level position, and you need to reassign employees who were originally reporting to another manager to this newly-promoted manager.

Please be aware that when using this tool, it makes permanent changes to your company organization chart!
