Here, you’ll learn when to use HR Partner’s housekeeping routines for changes made within the Time Off & Leave feature, specifically, how to assign Working Day Templates to multiple employees.

You can use our housekeeping routines by going to Setup > Tools > Advanced. Then, look for the section with the heading 'Leave Updates'.

Assign Working Day Templates

This housekeeping routine allows you to assign an already-created working day template to multiple employees, based on criteria such as department, position, employment status, and location. You can assign the template by selecting ‘See Options’, selecting the employee criteria, then selecting ‘Assign’. 

When to Use This Tool

You will need to nominate working days (e.g. Monday to Friday) and the default working hours per day for most employees. Working Day templates affect an employee’s leave and time off calculations when they submit time off requests. This housekeeping tool is to be used when needing to make bulk updates to your employees’ working day templates. For example, you need to make changes to a specific department’s working day template because they’re going to have a different working day schedule, including adding more hours to their work week.
