The Company Owner (Super Admin)
By default, the person who you signs your company up in HR Partner is set as as the Company Owner (or Super Admin) of your HR Partner account. However, it's important to note that there are aspects of this role aside from who started the account. The Company Owner functions like a Super Admin, which means there are certain tasks that only they can perform and certain things that need their approval. For this reason, the Company Owner seat should be given to the person who accesses the system most frequently rather than a company director.
Changing your Company Owner is something only our team can assist with. All you need to do is ensure the new Company Owner is set up as an Admin User and let us know who they are. The request to change the Company Owner must come from the current Company Owner.
Here is a list of what being a Company Owner means:
- It does not refer to the Owner / CEO / Founder of a business; instead, it is our primary point of contact should we ever need to reach out to them
- The current Company Owner is the only person who has the authority to request a change of Company Owner
- We request the Company Owner's permission to reset 2FA
Emailing & Administration
- A Company Owner is named in audit history when something has been actioned in an ESS. For example, if a manager approves leave from their ESS, the audit history will name the Company Owner, as it can only name Users and not Employees.
- A Company Owner will be listed in the Message Log as the sender of all system-generated emails (i.e. "A leave request has been submitted to you" type emails).
- The Company Owner's email address is the default "reply to" email address within the recruitment module, though this can be changed to any other email address.
- The Company Owner will often appear as the default person to be notified within the system, though this can usually be changed. For example, they will be the person who is notified when an employee changes something in their ESS, but this can be edited.
Checklists
- Only a Company Owner has the option to 'Mark Completed' on a Checklist.
Expense Claims
- Company Owners can unapprove any approved expense claims
Unlink from Payroll
- Company Owners can disconnect employees from their synced Payroll
Company News & Polls
- Can delete ALL Company News Articles and Company Polls in the system.
