Disposition Syncing for Indeed Apply
If you are making use of our Indeed integration you must complete 'Disposition Syncing' to ensure your setup is complete and the integration works effectively.
What is a 'Disposition'?
A 'Disposition' in Indeed is basically the same as a recruitment 'Stage' in HR Partner, examples might include Applied, Phone Interview, Shortlisted, Offered, Rejected etc. As you know, in HR Partner, we allow you create as many Stages as you need for your hiring process. In contrast, Indeed has a number of set Disposition Statuses. This means that you have to 'map' your HR Partner Stages to Indeed's Dispositions.
How do I map my Stages to Dispositions?
Don't worry this is a very easy process, which you will only have to do once for each stage you add to HR Partner.
To set up the mapping head to Recruitment > Configure > Integrations and click on the small "Configure" button next to the Indeed logo:
This will then allow you to match your existing Stage names to the Indeed Disposition Statuses via the drop down menus:
Once you have matched all of them hit 'Save' and you're done!
What if I add more stages in the future?
If you were to add a new Stage at a later date via Recruitment > Configure > Lists you would see an additional drop down box allowing you to choose the matching Indeed Disposition:
What happens if I do not map my Stages to Dispositions?
You will still be able to use your Recruitment module if you do not map your Stages, however you will see the below message on most of your recruitment screens until the process is complete:
IMPORTANT: While nothing changes in HR Partner if you do not complete the mapping process, it will have implications for your Indeed integration and could result in applicants not being sent to your HR Partner Company.
Why is this now necessary?
Indeed are constantly improving their data collection and the metrics surrounding the hiring process of all of their customers. As all recruiters will know, a large piece of the recruitment metrics jigsaw is how long it takes to move applicants through various stages.
Adding this mapping enables Indeed to create reports on KPIs for hiring for specific company sizes, industries and localities. Indeed plans to share this insight with their customers with the goal of improving hiring processes.
Do I need to do this for all HR Partner recruitment integrations?
At this stage, the disposition tracking is only for applicants that come into your system via Indeed Apply, however this may change in the future to encompass applicants who come to you via other methods as well.
