Entering Hours into Your Timesheet on Your Self-Service Portal
It has never been easier to use HR Partner to complete your Timesheets! You may receive an email to let you know when your timesheet is ready, if so, the email will include a link to take you straight there! Don't worry if you don't get reminder emails though, this article explains how to access your timesheet from within your Employee Portal.
Accessing Your Timesheet
Log into your own ESS (Employee Self-Service) Portal and if you have a shortcut at the top of the page, you can click straight there, if not, you will see the Timesheets module in the list on the left of your page:

When you enter the Timesheets area, you will see your active timesheet in the top section of the page, and any older timesheets in the bottom section. To enter you hours, click on the "Update" button:

Entering Hours into Your Timesheet
How your timesheet looks, and the information you are required to enter, each depend on the type of timesheet you complete.
If you see a header that reads "Hours Worked" then you are required to simply enter the total number of hours you have worked on each of the days listed in your timesheet:

Alternatively, you may see a more detailed view which requires you to enter your "Start Time", "End Time" and "Break" for each day worked. As you do this, the "Total" will automatically calculate for you:

If you work split shifts or do a lot of project work, you might see a multi-entry timesheet. This requires that you enter multiple start and stop times per day, and the system will calculate your total hours worked automatically. With this timesheet type, you will see one page per date. The date is at the top of the page in the centre, and you can navigate to other dates by clicking on either the arrow beside the date or the "Next Day" button to the right of the page:

Notes on Your Timesheet
You will see that there are two different places to make notes on your timesheet. These are (1) inline Notes for each timesheet entry. These notes need times to be entered in order to ensure they save. Your note here should refer to the specific entry inline with it; and (2) Timesheet Note at the bottom of the page which may be a more general note for your approver. This note may be responded to, in which case you will receive an email notification

Tracking Projects in Your Timesheet
If you see the "Project" and "Activity" columns in your timesheet, it is important that you use the dropdown lists to make the relevant selections before you submit your timesheet, otherwise it may not get approved:

Saving and Submitting Your Timesheet
Between entries you can hit the "Save" button at the bottom of the timesheet and come back to it later. Then, when you have completed your entire timesheet and it is ready for approval, you need to check the box at the bottom of the page followed by the "Save" button shown below.
